Site Protection Connection Type Configuration

Overview

By default, the login form is displayed using the current connection type (unsecure or SSL). It is possible to configure the protection system to force a secure connection to authenticate users. In this case, if a user tries to access a protected resource via an unsecure connection, the protection system will switch to a SSL connection prior to display the login form.

To use option [Always SLL] an SSL certificate must be installed for the site in question.

Instructions

• with a browser, go to the site proctection configuration page
• check [Standard] or [Always SSL]
• press [Apply Settings]
